About UmrahFromUAE.com
UmrahFromUAE.com exists because planning Umrah from the UAE is harder than it should be.
If you have ever searched for Umrah packages, visa guidance, or cost information as a UAE resident, you know the problem: most of what comes up online is either written for a global audience, outdated by the time you find it, or published by travel agencies with a direct financial interest in what you book. None of it is written specifically for the millions of Muslims living and working in the Emirates.
This site was built to fill that gap.
Who Is Behind This Site
My name is Abdullah. I have lived in the UAE for 6 years and consider it home. Like many UAE residents — nationals and expats alike — I have spent years surrounded by a community where Umrah is a constant and meaningful conversation. Colleagues saving carefully for their first trip. Families navigating the visa process for the first time. Friends returning from Makkah and Madinah with experiences that clearly changed them.
I created UmrahFromUAE.com because every time someone in my circle asked about Umrah planning — which agency to use, how much to budget, what documents are needed, how the Nusuk permit works — I found myself researching the same questions from scratch. No single resource answered them specifically for UAE residents. So I built one.
I have not yet performed Umrah myself — this site is built on careful research rather than personal pilgrimage experience, and I want to be upfront about that. What that means in practice: every guide on this site is built from official Saudi government sources, the Nusuk platform, authentic Islamic scholarly references, and the documented experiences of UAE-based pilgrims. Where I am uncertain about something, I say so. Where information is subject to change, I include a disclaimer. Where scholars genuinely disagree, I present multiple positions rather than pretending the question is settled.
Performing Umrah is my own sincere intention — and in the meantime, helping other UAE residents plan theirs is the work this site does.

What This Site Does Not Do
This site does not sell Umrah packages. It has no affiliate relationships with travel agencies, airlines, or hotels. No advertiser has paid for any coverage or recommendation on this site.
This site is not a source of religious rulings (fatawa). Religious guidance presented here reflects the majority scholarly position or presents multiple scholarly views where genuine differences exist. For personal religious guidance on specific questions, consult a qualified Islamic scholar.
All cost estimates and price ranges are provided as planning guidance only — they reflect typical market conditions at the time of writing and should always be verified with licensed UAE travel agencies before booking.
How Content Is Researched and Maintained
Every post on this site is researched against official sources — primarily the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Nusuk platform for regulatory and visa matters, and authentic hadith collections for religious content. Saudi regulations change — sometimes quickly — and posts are updated when changes are identified. Updated posts carry a revision date at the top.
If you find something inaccurate on this site — particularly regarding visa rules, religious guidance, or official Saudi policy — please use the contact page. Corrections are taken seriously and reviewed promptly. Getting things right matters more than getting them published fast.
A Personal Note
Umrah is not just a travel planning exercise — it is one of the most significant journeys a Muslim can make. I am conscious that the people who find this site are not looking for generic travel tips. They are planning something that matters deeply to them and their families. That is the responsibility this site takes seriously.
May Allah make the journey easy for every pilgrim who passes through these pages, and accept their Umrah. Ameen.
